ACE Chapel Cross
This crucifix, in the Alliance for Catholic Education's Christ the Teacher Chapel, is the work of Sante Fe, New Mexico sculptor Gib Singleton (1935–2014). The crucifix was a gift from Notre Dame benefactors Megan and Rick Hernandez.
Singleton designed the bronze crucifix on the crozier carried by Pope John Paul II, Pope Benedict XVI, and Pope Francis. Other sculptures by Singleton are in the permanent collections of the Museum of Modern Art, the Vatican Museum, and the State of Israel.
